If you follow our social media, you will know that this time last year we teamed up with Angie Mead King AKA car Porn Racing who are based in Manila and to say Angie built something special is a bit of an understatement, she basically took a 991.1 GT3RS base car and applied our R16 wide body that is manufactured for the none turbo wide body chassis like the basic GT3, C4S etc, so to pull this off shows the skill set this company has, it’s a pretty special company who take on build like this on a weekly basis.

If you follow Angie on YouTube you will know she crashed her pride and joy Porsche 991.2 GT2RS and damaged the body work pretty badly and although she has looked at rebuilding the car to factory spec, that has now changed, the new look for this car will be an all dry carbon fibre factory R19 GT3R wide body aero conversion and boy oh boy are we excited, as not only are we supplying the aero kit but we will be privy to all the inside build updates as they happen.

This is going to be one of the most unique Porsche builds globally and although Porsche have built an immense race car, Angie’s will not only be a track breathing monster, but a street legal one too, imagine the world first R19 GT3R built for the street, what’s not to love, we will keep you posted when the kit has been shipped.

Its been a while since we have updated the blog, with so much going on there is just not enough hours in the day as well as people, we are pulling some serious hours on some amazing projects.

Back in July we did a post on a build our Partner in the Philippines was doing, our Porsche 991 R16 Evo GT3R carbon fibre aero kit, Angie Mead King AKA Car Porn Racing doesn’t really need much in the way of introduction as she is a formidable car modifier who is known globally throughout the scene and Angie has finally finished the build.

Considering Angie used the 991 GT3 RS as the base car for this conversion rather than a none turbo wide body Porsche chassis is extremely commendable, we know just how difficult this conversion is when fitting a kit to a chassis it wasn’t really intended for and the overall look of the finished car is simply breath-taking, especially around the rear quarter panels where Angie and her wonderful team have cut in the side air intakes back into the kit that did have the intakes, this is a part that we will be adding to the kit over the next few months but Angie beat us to it using her modification skillset, so happy to have this lady as part of the extended VAD family of dealers, well done Angie you did us proud, now all that is left to do is paint or wrap the beauty. #PorscheRacing #porsche991 #Porsche991GT3R #991GT3R #porsche991gt3r #GT3PORSCHE #PorscheTurboWideBody #PorscheTurboR #Turbor #Porsche991CUP #Carbonfibre #PorscheAeroParts #PorscheCarbonFibre

This spoiler looks so good fitted we feel it needs its own post, its a new addition that we have wanted to do for so. We have been putting together or supplying our 997 GT3 R parts for quite a while now as well as building our own cars for customers and 2023 is a big year for us with the 997 platform, as we have not one but two R13 LS7 V8 builds in development, both based on the rather amazing C4S, this is the chassis in particular that will becaome the base car we will use for all of our R13 wide body builds with LSX Performance builds.

Every 997 that wears our kit wears a R13 race wing, and that’s a superb look, we absolutely love that look and its one that is in the programme as long as customers want it, but when we work with Speedwells on the Turbo-R, he didn’t want that race wing set up, he wanted a GT wing and we have to say it looked amazing, in fact that particular build went through a couple of GT engine covers and although they were both beautiful they still wasn’t what we were looking for, we wanted that old 997 Gemballa Avalanche style cover with the side intakes and high wing.

Our engine cover side air intakes will become functional on some builds as they do like to take in huge amounts of air so it would be silly not to utilise them, our engine cover vent system will use the C4S style grill and the wing will be Height adjustable to a point, and the beauty of this wing is you can use on a narrow or wide body so will be available for the 991.1 & 991.2 chassis.

Cover is now ready for production so get in touch for more details
