Speedwells Supra + Next Level Automotive = Perfection.


We we did not think we would be revisiting Next Level Automotive build so quickly, but these guys just do not hang around, within days of collecting the bulging biceps of the blown out Supra wide body kit, these boys have already fitted the kit in a total of 4 days, all that is left to do is slight adjustments on the front fenders and then obviously the bodywork side of the conversion, which is a little more time consuming, but these guys know their craft so we are only expecting perfection.

To say we are flabbergasted is a bit of an understatement, we always knew Jan was a cool cookie, building some absolute show stoppers, but his skill and craft are pretty awesome to see, especially when its one of our own, we feel privileged to be working with him, even Iby the designer of the blown out beauty is extremely impressed with Jan's 4 day turn around fitting this kit, we must also credit Iby as its a testament to him personally for getting the fitment perfected and also the manufacturing skills our of composite team that produce such a great fitting high quality kit, when all the experts come together, they create magic.

Another little detail we are now privy to is the colour this particular Supra build will be painted in, but unsure at the moment if we can share that information, but its one we are very excited to see as we have yet to see this colour adorn the muscular lines of a Speedwells converted Supra and we are always one for something different, we want as many colours possible on this build, we are just waiting for someone to build a yellow with black details to hit the streets, but were pretty happy with Jan's Choice.

The next one to hit the streets should be our good friend Sean Reid and his impeccable Porsche grey beauty, we just cant wait to shoot that beast.

We use the slogan Teamwork Makes the Dream work moto quite frequent at VAD, and working with this crew of people never has that statement been so apt.

Next Level Automotive Toyota Supra

This week we finally got to meet Jan and his crew from Next Level Automotive who are based in the Netherlands, and what a delightful bunch they are, Jan had ordered the Speedwells wide body supra aero kit a couple of weeks previously and his plan was to kill two birds with one stone, to collect his kit and meet the VAD & speedwell team.

Jan is renowned within the Benelux area for his Toyota Supra creations, builds some real show stoppers over the years, he is a man that knows his craft exceedingly well and as you can see his work speaks for itself, with customers coming far and wide for him to apply his craft. We have known about his high quality builds for some time, so its nice to finally have him on-board representing our brands.

He had an extremely early start on Tuesday morning to make the channel tunnel crossing from the Netherlands to the UK, pulling up at Speedwells around midday, the amusement of us looking at his transport thinking how on earth is this huge wide body Supra kit going to fit in that extremely small caddy van, with Jan explaining the day before he had trial fitted another kit, so knew exactly how it all had to go in, and interlock and we were pleased to report it fitted... just.

We are always on the look out to work with talented people and companies and Jan fits in perfectly with how we operate, he works hard and creates high quality builds, so he will be a great extension for our brand across the Benelux area, not only selling out product, but having the right skill set to fit the parts too, the fact it hasn't even been a week since the kit was collected and the kit has been mocked up in place, with the rear quarter panels cut and bonded into place, which is pretty impressive.

Speedwells Wide Body Supra hits the market, sells immediately.


The Toyota Supra in Speedwell wide body format is a bit of a unicorn, especially on UK roads, the chances of seeing one on the road is pretty remote, but as more builds are taking place that will change over time, every other day we get an enquiry of a customer looking to enhance their Supra with the Speedwell aero, which is amazing considering the Supra is rare with such a cult status, with prices soaring, with the Speedwell version holding is value extremely well in the used modified car market.

A couple of years back Iby built a second wide body Supra, it was a none turbo and purchased for the sole purpose to be come his daily commuter to and from HQ, plans were already being cooked up and it was quickly fitted with its signature enhanced wide body look, painted up in gloss black and sitting on his old weds wheels that used to adorn his immaculate red example, Just as he was planning his Lexus V8 engine install the plan changed and Lawrence Duckers snapped up the car, he knew that these converted Supra's do not come up for sale very often, so if you want an immaculate prepared example you have to act quickly.

Lawrence has owned the car for the last couple of years, but decided a couple of days ago to put the car up for sale, and within a couple of days the car was sold, and we are pleased to hear a return on his investment, which is a testament to how good this conversion really is, so we ask...why is the Speedwells brand so strong in the Supra world.

We believe the fact he built one of the finest twin turbos the country has seen, possibly even across

Europe, we certainly haven't seen a better one that the original Red beauty, we featured the car in various disguises over the years and it was flawless, his quest for perfection was admirable, the quality of parts used and finish of the car was pretty awe-inspiring, this with the fact the aero design actually enhances the oem body lines rather than ruins them like so many other conversions on the market, from every viewing point the Speedwells just looks perfect, it also been built to house serious wheel and tyre width, which helps considerably with the big HP Supra conversions.

The conversion seems to be getting more and more popular, with demand and enquiries coming in from other parts of the world, The kit consists of the usual parts needed for a wide body conversion, 8 pieces total for the basic aero kit: front bumper, front fenders, side rockers, rear quarter panels, rear bumper, as with all aero kits we have the optional extras which include front lower splitter, rear ducktail, 19" forged wheels sized 10.5x19 front and 13x19 rear.
