For the last few months we have been adding various carbon fibre parts to our various product lines, with the Porsche brand being the main focus for most of the updates, but after being tiered of sourcing parts we didn’t make for the Nissan GTR we have just become extremely tiered of bad quality, especially when we have been ordering from the main stream players of the industry and paying good money for absolute garbage.

This post could easily tune into a rage of how bad the parts are and what is being charged, but we are not that kind of company, but what we can say is if you are paying $2850 USD for a so called American manufactured part, you expect great quality, what you don’t expect flaws in the carbon, or a badly laid weave, and as this is the fourth GTR carbon roof we have had issue with over the last couple of months it was time to take action, which is exactly what we have done.

We have decided to manufacture our very own GTR replacement carbon fibre roof, this is not a skin, this is a replacement part and we are taking pre-orders now, so if you want the best quality super lightweight carbon fibre roof for your GTR, get In touch with us for pricing and lead time.

When Bryce built his dream GTR he put his trust into people and companies that should not have been anywhere near the car, but we will cover that in some detail in our up and coming update, as they say hindsight is a wonderful thing and its lessons learned for Bryce, he knew all too well the car would need to go back into surgery and with him being based in Afghanistan for the best part of the last 9 months what better time to hand his pride and joy over to the capable hands of Destin from Dapper Dips.

We are going to bring you a fully detailed build thread on the transformation of Bryce's GTR as we feel the time and effort that Destin has put in to this build deserves a post all of its own, the journey to get this build the paint work it demands has been a long and frustrating one, but in traditional head down arse up the end result is incredible , we have no doubt this is one transformation that will fill up every social media platform over the next few months.

Kudos to Destin for not only driving to collect the GTR but also but the time and effort into getting the car looking the way it does now and then the return journey delivering back to Bryce and Taylor, considering the GTR is based in Colorado and Dapper Dips is based in Evansville Indiana, so a nice touch and incredible service, we only now fully appreciate the lengths he has gone to, making sure Bryce has exactly what he wanted, we just can’t wait to bring you the story of the full build, as well looking forward to round two from Brandon C/O Woyshnis media and his amazing skill set, such a mouth-watering prospect of what is to come for Bryce and the Ichiban GT3 GTR.

We have made some changes to our Nissan GTR aero products over the last few months, with some new material and some options on some aero designs being discontinued.

Our first venture into the GTR World was back in 2012, with our GT1 styled take on Nissan's range topper for the first edition CBA styled bumper GTR, at the time of launch we produced in carbon fibre and GRP with the GRP outselling the carbon version by some margin, so we took the decision to only offer that aero kit in GRP, it an extremely cheap aero kit and really does enhance the oem lines of the GTR, whilst housing wide negative offset 20” wheels, its deceptive wide and that what we love about this particular kit, in fact unless you sit this wide body by a standard GTR it looks oem, even though is 75mm wider per corner than the Stock beauty.

2018 has seen us launch our GT3 style wide body carbon fibre aero kit which huge success, our good friend Bryce was the first to step up and build the pinnacle wide body, which is now having a bit of a colour change which will be completed this month, the Dapper Dips crew have had the car most of this year getting on to it when they have had spare time, a day here and there which suits Bryce as he has been stationed in the middle east for the last 9 months, just a pity we have to lose the lush white finish as that really did showcase the kit details, but the paintwork was terrible and something needed to be done, so Bryce wanted to start again and come back with a new look, which we are really excited to see the new look when its all finished, and for Brandon Woyshnis to once again unleash his epic photography skills.

Another positive for our aero as reported in one of our post last month, David Haagsma also hit the track with some fantastic results, a testament to how good our products are.

Since we launched the kit we have been asked about the possibilities of having the kit manufactured in GRP, something we haven’t been particularly keen on until our composite team sent us details on a brand new woven cloth based GRP material with is still manufactured with epoxy resin and either pre-preg or vacuum infused product, extremely strong, super lightweight, just like carbon fibre product but 15 to 20% cheaper, so this will be added to the list of GTR manufacturing options, which is great as we can still get to add various parts like the front splitter, rear diffuser and side skirts in carbon fibre.
