Bryce has had a very busy couple of months with his build of late, our last blog post about his GTR he had taken delivery of the super sticky Michelin tyres and it was back to being a daily ride, it was great to his Instagram feed fill up with pictures of the car at various locations, its been great following the progression from start to finish and it seems he has no intention of slowing down.

The last couple of weeks has seen him welcome Brandon Woyshnis, the owner of Woyshnis Media for a real slick photoshoot and if the teasers are anything to go by, we are in for a treat as they look spectacular, we cant wait for the full set of pictures to hit our mail along with the video footage, Christmas is definitely coming early this year.

With the photoshoot locked and loaded and Brandon heading home the next stop for Bryce and the GTR was to hit the Hot Imports Nights show, Denver Mart, Denver, Saturday 31st of March and we must say it seems is was a worthy trip as the Ichiban GTR came away with Hottest Wide Body, which we are super excited about especially that we know this is just the beginning for this GTR's journey.

Big congrats to Bryce and Taylor, they really have done the VAD name proud, its a pleasure to have them apart of the VAD family, onwards and upwards #VAD2K18

 

Its been a while since we have featured Bryce Jenkins GTR and the main reason being he has simply been too busy with life, not only moving from state to state, but also moving into a new family home in Colorado Springs whist also adding new family members, in the form of Siberian Husky, not one but two, Hakosuka and the latest edition Mishimoto and as all car builders will respect you have to prioritise, which is what Bryce has been doing

With the priorities taken care of it was time to get back on the GTR, and to complete the first round of mods, steam roller sized Michelin tyres were on the hit list, measuring 325/30R20 up front and even wider 345/30R20 for the rear, these have been wrapped around the 12x20 & 14x20 AG Wheels Bryce already had "waiting patiently" so with a weekend of mods, trimming and general suspension set up it was finally time for its first proper outing as a more or less finished build and we have to say it does look pretty spectacular, the wheel and tyre set up are really on point, form and function never looked so good, Bryce still has bits to do but as with all builds does the modifying and titivating ever stop.

Next up will be the straight pipe exhaust system coming from the boys at JC Fab Works, and a new rear GT3 style wing that we are working on for our own BMW Z4 GT3 project, will be re worked for the Ichiban GTR, but that is a few months away whilst we fabricated all the supports and manufactured the blade moulds for the double set up.

Over the next week the car will be photographed by the silky lens skills of Brandon from Woyshnis Media, and we are really looking forward to the money shots that will appear, as the guy has some excellent skills with a camera and no doubt the GTR will be seen on lots of media feeds, especially if Bryce’s Rocket Bunny Nissan 350Z this is anything to go by, this is one GTR that we think is going to infest the internet for many months to come, and with the current crop of cut and paste wide body GTR builds that are everywhere, this beauty is going to be a refreshing change... Hurry up Brandon.

 

When we first got to know Bryce we knew straight away he was very serious about what he wanted, certainly didn't take us long to swept away with his vision, and the plan of his build for the GTR. With the delivery arrival it didn't take him long to start ripping apart his beautiful but stock GTR, within a couple of days the panels were all mocked up to check the fit, finish and what it was going to take to get that desired o.e.m look he desired, with that done and a very hectic army life, the GTR was shipped off to the boys at Auto Ink to assist with their skill set, along with the task of removing the GTR of its o.e.m rear quarter panels, an easy task if you know how.

There are lots of people that have wide body aero kits to various vehicles around the world that don’t see the process of what has to be done to get that wide body to fit, yes there are plenty of videos doing the rounds cutting fenders to fit over fenders, it’s a little different fitting a rear quarter wide body, but Auto Ink knew exactly what it would take, as most of the higher quality body shops would do, it’s a walk in the park for a quality outlet like these guys.

With all the standard panels removed, including the rear quarters, it was time to fit the kit and check out Bryce’s wheel build, and we are pleased to say its been a pleasure watching this beauty take shape, its now time for the car to head off to the guys at Sprayhouse.LLC for the next stage of the process, which is fettling all of the panels and applying the lashings of lush paint.

This is one build that has grabbed our attention from day one, and we can’t wait to see this beast hit the streets, next stop… getting this beauty painted.
