A few weeks back just before the global pandemic we broke the news that we would be collaborating on a Ferrari 458 GT3 build that was happening in Miami with our customer and good friend Manny and his imprecable vision of a Gen 2 GT3 street build, he seen all the rest and believes he can build a better example and after seeing his work, we believe this is going to be one very special GT3 street build.

The 458 is one of the prettiest cars ever produced, it really is stunning from every viewing point, but in the GT3 race version look it enhances that beauty further, it really is a special looking GT race car, possibly the prettiest GT3 car of all time, apart from the BMW Z4 of course, but we would say that as we are building one, but we can appreciate the 458 GT3 more than most after building one back in 2015 with our Scandinavian Partners Lights 2 Flag, it’s a car you have to see up close and personal to appreciate what the GT3 styling does to a standard 458 in every detail, and Many is going all out with this build, he is leaving no stone unturned with the interior also coming in for some very special Manny treatment.

Every single Ferrari 458 GT3 build that has been put together in the USA has been done so using used race parts, now there is nothing wrong with that, our own Z4 has an Authentic used race kit, but Manny didnt want used, he wanted new parts which is exactly what he is getting, Front bumper, front splitter, front vented fenders, rear bumper, rear over fenders, rear diffuser, rear wing, door mirrors with glass along with the arch liners with the hood also on order, after deciding at a later date that the front hood was an absolute must have part on the conversion and we would have to agree.

This is one build that we have been looking forward to after getting derailed by the global pandemic which put this build back 4 months, but after receiving the parts the enthusiasm and excitement has just reignited, Manny is about to light up the Ferrari 458 game with the most authentic GT3 street build there has been to date ... disagree, show us another.

Updated: Feb 4, 2020

We have been pretty quiet on the Ferrari front for a while now, and we cannot believe Mikael Persbrandt build with the Lights 2 Flag crew was way back in 2015, the time has just flown by, and contray to poular belief from the shores of the USA, Mikaels FerrarI 458 was the very first ever road going GT3 on the planet.

The statement for us at the time was to showcase what we could put together, the first ever road going Ferrari 458 GT3, and we got to work with a fantastic bunch of people to create a real show stopping 458 that still graces the swedish roads 5 years on.

Although we haven’t personally been involved in any other Ferrari 458 GT3 builds we have been supplying a lot of O.E.M race parts around the world, but with this next build we will be supplying parts for is going to be something very special.

There are a couple of 458 builds stateside, our personal favourite is the Gloss Black Gen 1 build owned by Rob Panlilio of Crooks & Castles, if ever you need to look at how a road going 458 GT3 should be put together this is the one, then there is David Uy build possibly the most popular Ferrari 458 GT3 on Instagram, this example is now owned by Danny Pak, TJ Hunt is the latest to build a street going GT3 458, which he put together for SEMA 2019, what we have noticed is all these builds have used old used race parts, which seems the way to go if you’re in the USA, but we are about to change all that, by doing it as it should be done.

There is nothing wrong with used race part, but most have taken a beating, or been repaired sometimes in its life, and you get good and bad repairs and when your fitting these parts to a 200k + Ferrari we personally prefer to fit brand new carbon fibre parts, and just so happens so does our customer Manny, straight out of the box we were on the same page with this build, all parts would have to be brand spanking new from Michelotto as it was going on to a late 458 with the ultimate factory spec, so only new parts would do for this build and another stipulation was not to mix and match the parts from Gen1 to Gen 2 … every part had to be Gen 2, which we believe will be a first for a road going 458.

With the parts on order it’s now just a waiting game, as the car gets striped down ready for its new clothes, but what we can do is ogle over the latest Gen 2 race going 458 GT3.

Check back for details on this build and follow our social media as and when this build takes shape.

with selling our parts all over the world we don’t always get to see our product hit the vehicle, we are involved with so many private builds we never get to see the finished article, so we do rely on customers and others to forward as much as possible if it’s not a local job, and being so busy we some slip through the nett and we don’t post everything we get sent, so its always nice when you stumble across some old pictures and photos of your product.

Ferrari 458 GT3

This is one that we forgot all about, our VAD Ferrari 458 Curseive GT3 cruising in the 2017 Modball rally, just goes to show how versatile our products are, from the track right to the streets where the Modball takes you, which is all over Europe, on every type of road.

We particularly like the colour of this build, this one also wears the older 20” 21” forged wheel set up that we no longer use, but they still look good, and we love the tyre stickers “WE KNOW SHIT” as well as the number plate “2 CHILL” which is a lovely touch.

Just for reference the aero pack consists of:

Front bumper, front splitter, front bumper canards, front vented fenders, side skirts, rear fender, rear bumper, rear diffuser, rear wing assembly, arch liners front and rear, with a set of forged bespoke wheels 3 piece wheels, with a super lightweight magnesium option also available on request, front set up is 10.5x20 fitted with 275/30R20, rear set up is 13.5x20 fitted with 355/25R21, Ohlin suspension, with a hybrid exhaust.
