It’s been over 12 months in the making but the 1st of July 2024 has seen us move into our new premises were we will team up and start working side by side with two companies that have been part of what we have been doing over the last 12 months, so relocating our business from the hustle and bustle of Birmingham to the tranquillity of Market Drayton in Shropshire, rose hill to be a little more precise has been the best decision that we have made in the last decade for our business.

We have a couple of reasons for relocation to Shropshire, the ever growing costs to have a unit and a business in Birmingham as well as the decline in certain areas, plus the and the opportunity to have a 2000 SQFT unit next door to your engine builder and fabrication partner is too good of an opportunity to miss.

The plan is to have the showroom where we can display all of our work from cars, parts, engines in Unit C20 with C21 being where all of the Engine building and fabrication work will take place, what this means is we can now manufacture and build in-house and be self-contained, the move is exciting for all involved and will enable us as a collectable team to do what we love and that’s build GT race cars for the road.

It’s been a while since we have had the time to sit and write a post and we have so much to discuss with so many things going on at the moment, it’s been ridiculously busy but we really want to get back to releasing new blogs and what better way to kick things off ...our BMW Z4, yes finally our GT3 V8 Street build is complete and were happy to say all road legal, taxed, tested and MOT.

This build has taken it time, but for all of the negatives this build had along the way is all but forgotten when you’re in that driver’s seat, this car is next level out on the street, we have built some show stoppers over the years, but nothing comes close to the attention this car brings, it’s absolutely crazy, the grin factor doesn’t leave and its sounds like it looks, all we can say if you do embark on a z4 gt3 build then do it properly and install a V8 of choice, you really will not be disappointed.

Our V8 choice was the LS3 and we would highly recommend this option, our engine partners build and supply LS3, LS3 Twin turbo or if you’re after the cubic capacity you can request a fully built 680hp LS7, which they have also fitted in their Porsche C4S 997 R13 demo vehicle, but that is another story.

The weekend will see us join up with the Bilstein UK crew at cars & coffee which is happening at Demon Tweeks in Wrexham and we will then be heading to the “Z” fest in Leicester as well as hopefully heading to Stafford for the Max Power reunion in August, we will also be at the Gravity show at the NEC, so if you see us at any shows come and say hello.

One thing we have learned with this build is pick the your build team you want to work with wisely, doing the due diligence is key especially if they come recommended, or as we found out Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or any other of the leading media platforms doesn’t show the company in its true light, only what they want you to see, what should of taken us 12 to 18 months to construct has taken 4 years because we said “yes” to working with certain companies along the way for company exposure, all were desperate to work with us on this unique build, but we put it down to experience and enjoying the fruits of our labour and we now do pretty much everything in-house or with our reliable professional partners we now work with.

Now it’s time to enjoy this build and get to as many shows as we can.

It’s been a few weeks since we have been able to get back on to the finishing touches of the Z4, but this is a shop build so it takes the back seat on our day to day business, but perfection takes time, so we are happy to spare what we can when we can which is what is making it such an enjoyable build and with the weather changing it’s not like the car will be out and about any time soon as we have now locked it away for the Winter months.

Rear Wing fixings and quick release pins

These week has seen us find and locate a brand new front bumper grill which we are thrilled at so that is now on route to us, its also seen us mock up the rear wing which has been a challenge to get it mounted so the boot can still be used, as the race ring is chassis boot floor mounted which is what we didn’t want to do on our own build.

Rear wing Assembly Rear Bumper Grills

The rear wing as we have previously discussed is the rear deal Gen 2 Z4 GT3 which we can now produce for any further builds, its mounted using the BMW Z4 GT3 race hardware with the quick release pins so to put on and take off is pretty easy, which is why we wanted this set up so badly.

We get customers asking us why our conversion is more expensive than the other companies that also offer this conversion and our answer is very simple, attention to detail, we also offer parts that our competition doesn’t, we are the only company to offer finish bumper grills front and rear with stainless hardware, dual blade rear wing with quick release pins with our conversion for the track or the street, plus the fact we have actually built a street car, so we are not just advertising the parts on a webpage without a clue how to fit them.

Over the winter months we will be releasing more images of the progress along with some video footage so you get to finally hear this beauty on start up.
